Resources
Our approach is about leading community-based research and action, empowering youth and incubating youth-led initiatives, and building community partnerships and resilience.
hua foundation’s journey started in 2009 with Shark Truth: a way to advocate for shark conservation in a manner that didn’t shame our heritage.

Focus Areas
-
From convening dialogic spaces to collaborative projects: we strive to be a facilitator and connective tissue between and across community, beyond theoretical and digital solidarities.
-
When we provide racialized youth with spaces in which they feel safe, affirmed, and empowered, we create the conditions necessary for truly radical and imaginative systemic change.
-
We create opportunities for collaboration, bridging relationships between community and institution towards shared equity goals.
-
Beyond our core work, we hold space and capacity to respond to community needs, to build, and to dream.
